An Invitation

You are invited to ask a question, make a comment or suggestion, keep it real. My goal is to have an open and honest dialogue. You can get to know me, and I hope to get to know you, whether I know your name or not. From time to time I will ask your advice/response to a specific issue. I won't participate in anything hurtful or destructive, but I welcome good debate and the opportunity to learn from new perspectives. Peace, Jameel

  1. I read the article about the Bray Center in the Sunday edition of the Racine Journal Times on 4/5/09 and then the history of it on your Web site. Do you ever have community meetings in the evenings during the week or on Saturday mornings? It would be nice if the neighborhood association component could be incorporated back into the program: e.g. create a resource center for residents to obtain a list of reasonably priced contractors for various home improvement needs for example to help us be able to keep our neighborhood up.

  2. Hi Annette,
Thanks. You have some good points. I especially like the going-back-to-the-association idea. We have tried, over the years, to encourage meetings of say the Neighborhood Watch groups, an activity which may lend itself to expanding into more neighborhood interests/groups like resource lists and such. I will bring it up at the next board meeting.
